Bharath & Jean

June 25th, 2016

We have had almost nine wonderful years together, meeting the most amazing friends, building our first home together and visiting incredible destinations all over world. We dreamed about loading everyone onto a jumbo jet to fly us to some exotic locale. And then we got real. So we hope you will all join us in Nashville on June 25th for one of the most memorable days of our lives!

- Bharath & Jean

The Couple

Bharath & Jean

Bharath & Jean were fortunate to meet at an unfortunate bar in New York City in the Summer of 2007. His version involves Guns & Roses, a spot light, dancing . . . something about the allure of being a financier. Hers involves questions confirming her internship at HSBC (SUMMER intern, right?), vodka tonics, unusual dance moves and endless jokes.

Thanks to their dear friends, Michael Krafft and Sonia Palmieri-Garg, they stayed connected. Bharath left HSBC three weeks later but called Jean from baseball stadiums ’round the country before his new job at Capital Z Partners (where he just made Partner!). Jean finished her internship, her senior year at NYU and today works at Bon Appetit Magazine + Epicurious.com.

They moved in together in 2011 and have had a blast being a stone’s throw away from some of their best friends and favorite NYC restaurants.

They returned to this unfortunate bar for a very fortunate engagement party in November 2015 and couldn’t be more excited for their upcoming nuptials!

Enough with the third person . . . we are psyched to see you all and cannot wait for this day to come!

Maid of Honor

Maggie LeCrone

I met Maggie in the ‘hood at 5 years old and we have been best friends ever since. We spent YEARS getting into trouble and even managed to fit in some epic trips and college degrees. Together, we have been through everything life has thrown at us, good & bad, but always with each other’s support and always with lots of laughs along the way.

Maggie has been by my side through all of life’s major moments so I could not think of anyone more suited to stand with me on my wedding day.

- Jeannie

Best Man

Aneesh Raman

Aneesh is Bharath’s cousin and the two of them grew up together, spending several summers together in either Massachusetts or Tennessee. Our key activities included buying endless amounts of comic books that were never opened (but will be worth a fortune someday!), eating fast food, and doing our best to cause chaos at Bharath’s sister Deepa’s birthday party every August. They have stayed close over the years and visited in places around the world. As a wedding gift, Bharath expects Aneesh to finally agree with him on politics and Manning over Brady

As it dead ends at the Cumberland River, you will see Acme Feed & Seed on the corner. Please join us on the 3rd Floor for light bites, drinks and lots of laughs. • Ceremony & Reception

Since our parents blessed each of us with a rich spiritual and cultural background, we wanted to celebrate both on this special day! All elements will be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony, located in downtown Nashville and a short walk from the hotels we listed.

    3:30pm: Baraat
The festivities will start with the baraat, a procession where the groom arrives at the venue. Guests are encouraged to join in the music and dance as Bharath parades around the symphony. Tradition holds for the groom to arrive in a car but we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see Bharath on a horse!

    4:00pm: Hindu Ceremony

    5:00pm: Brief Intermission
Guests are invited to remain at the Symphony for coffee and cocktails.

    6:00pm: Christian Ceremony

6:30pm: Cocktail hour followed by the reception

AFTER PARTY? Late night food and fireball shots are dear to our hearts so please be ready to keep those dancing shoes on a little longer.

Black Tie or Festive Indian. The Wedding Party will start in Indian attire and change into traditional black tie formal wear for the Christian ceremony and reception. Guests are welcome to dazzle us all with either but please plan to remain in that attire for the duration of the day.

  • Sunday Brunch

Come heal your wounds and say farewell to us at Sunday brunch. We promise make-your-own bloody mary bar & mimosa bar and some nosh to soak up Saturday night’s festivities. Maybe even a little music to keep the party going. Basically, we never want our wedding weekend to end so help us live in denial!

Registry

We feel blessed to have those we love share this memorable day with us. Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for and that is more than enough!

Nashville, TN

Nashville is Bharath’s college stomping ground and one of the coolest & fastest growing cities in ’Merica. The art, culture and food scene is topping charts and of course, it is Music City. Grab a fancy-pants cocktail from a tatted hipster or sit down to hear some of the up and coming talent performing at venues all along Broadway. We find amazing new places every time we visit and we hope you enjoy your weekend here!

EAT / DRINK / DO

Dinner

Adele's

(615) 988-9700
Nashville, TN

Jonathan Waxman’s Nashville restaurant, situated in the heart of The Gulch. While he is probably best known for his take on roast chicken, the restaurant has a great mix of food and a lively bar scene as well

Dinner

The Catbird Seat

1711 Division Street
Nashville, TN

One of the more unique dining experiences in Nashville – definitely will require advance reservations. The action takes place over a multi-course tasting menu served from an open kitchen. Well worth stopping by The Patterson House (located in the same building) for cocktails before or after your meal

Dinner

Rolf & Daughters

700 Taylor Street
Nashville, TN

Located in the vibrant Germantown neighborhood, Rolf and Daughters was one of Bon Appetit’s 50 Best New Restaurants in 2013. The restaurant serves a mix of New American food (including some of the most amazing pastas in town) and has a fun and buzzy atmosphere driven by the communal seating options

Brunch

Monell's

1235 6th Avenue North
Nashville, TN

A truly unique experience for brunch but make sure to come hungry! Monell’s serves all-you-can-eat Southern food at communal tables in an old Victorian home. A great chance to meet new people and try a number of different dishes!

Dinner

Whiskey Kitchen

118 12th Avenue South
Nashville, TN

A fun spot for a group dinner with great service, a varied menu, and an easy location to explore Downtown Nashville from after a meal.

Snacktime

Prince's Hot Chicken Shack

123 Ewing Drive
Nashville, TN

Before the concept of hot and spicy friend chicken went national (KFC among others), Nashville was known for being the original version. While there are many venues in town offering this unique dish, Prince’s draws the biggest crowds and promises all the spiciness you can handle. Major kudos if you can handle the extra-spicy sauce!

Accommodations

We recommend booking rooms as soon as possible. Nashville is a busy destination year-round!

All of our hotels are located a short walk from the wedding and reception venue and are in the heart of Downtown Nashville.

In addition to these, there are many hotels in and around Nashville that vary in ambiance and price. Airbnb is worth a look too!

Let us know if you have any questions at all!
